Math Journal

Week of February 19 – 22

We are converting units of time from one unit to another, such as minutes to seconds

Hour – a unit of time that is equal to 60 minutes

Minute – a unit of time that is equal to 60 seconds.  60 minutes = 1 hour

Second – a unit of time that is 1/60th of a minute.  60 seconds = 1 minute

2 hours = 120 minutes ( 2  X 60 = 120)

2 minutes = 120 seconds  ( 2 x 60 = 120)

120 minutes = 2 hours  (120 / 2 = 60)
