Heart Hands for Anthony

My Language classes did a letter writing lesson and used our group letters to encourage a young man in Texas named Anthony who recieved a brand new heart! Anthony is the same age as many of the fifth graders and has lived with a congenital heart disease his whole life. On New Year's Day 2014 he got his new heart and is doing great! Along with our letters, we took these photos (heart hands for Anthony) and made heart hand cut-out cards that each student signed. It was such fun to teach the students a skill and do something nice for someone at the same time.
