Hello! I am Alecia Mitchell and I teach 4th grade Social Studies and Reading.  I am a proud graduate of Okmulgee High School! I married my high school sweetheart and we have three wonderful children who are also students in Okmulgee Public Schools. Since I was a 2nd grader in Judy Thomas's class I have wanted to teach and have enjoyed my 19 year career thus far! I have another passion, which is photography. In my spare time, you'll find me spending time with my family, at church activities, or taking pictures. 

Students in my class will take a tour through history using a variety of media. We have traditional text books but will use video, journaling, hands on activities, and more to explore the past. We will also be working on Reading skills with a brand new series!
